The 20-day course combines qualifications in clinical & medical hypnotherapy, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and stress management together with the HPD (hypnotherapy practitioner diploma), an externally validated industry award, validated by the NCFE and equivalent to NVQ level 4.

The course runs over 9/10 months, at weekends only, allowing you to combine it easily with an existing career or study, and combines lectures and demonstrations with plenty of practical work in hypnosis, NLP and stress management. The course directors, Alan Cooper & Carole Wan, have a combined experience of over 23 years in the profession, both as full-time therapists and as experienced trainers. In fact, all our courses throughout the UK run with TWO qualified, experienced trainers who are also successful therapists. In addition to the course itself, you can also access a range of CPD courses (continual professional development), supervised practice, supervision (Carole is an accredited supervisor with the National Council for Hypnotherapy) and dedicated website presence, providing you with ongoing support and business mentoring, both throughout your training and, most importantly, once you have qualified.

Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds. No existing qualifications are necessary, although we expect you to have empathy, enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. Many students attend our courses hoping to add to existing skills, such as psychology, counselling and nursing, whilst others simply wish to complete the course as a means of self-development. A large proportion have also made a dramatic career change, and are now working as hypnotherapists, either full or part time. Although income varies considerably, most hypnotherapists charge between £50 and £100 per hour. We give advice on practice management, including setting up your own business.

Start dates are usually spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) and classes are limited in size, so you're guarranteed personal attention. Students receive an extensive course manual, scripts and additional course notes on a monthly basis, adding up to a 700+ page reference with everything you need to run a successful hypnotherapy & stress management business.

Our hypnotherapy course is constantly being updated to include the latest information and research. You will learn an eclectic mix of effective interventions, taken from models of psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, alongside advanced hypnotherapy and changework techniques such as coaching and NLP.
